Hera is very pleased to welcome Rania Nasis, MD, MBA, to our advisory board.

With her extensive background in both medicine and entrepreneurship, we are very excited to have her with us to help launch our technology to improve cancer screening.

Rania is a physician entrepreneur and seasoned operator with a passion for building companies to address unmet needs in healthcare. She is the founder of Starlings, an advisory firm that works with early stage healthcare startups on strategy, operations and product-market fit. She is also a Director of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE), a non-profit global biomedical and healthcare innovation network.


Rania holds impressive experience across a multitude of areas in healthcare, including digital health, aging tech, biotech, life sciences, devices, and diagnostics, and has previously held senior leadership roles within multiple healthcare startups.


She received her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School, her Masters of Business Administration from the Paul Merage School of Business at University of California at Irvine and her Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University.


Her published work can be seen in multiple business articles and as scientific contributions to peer-reviewed journals and textbooks.
