About Roger Bamford.
Roger Bamford has been making seed investments since 1990, averaging 3-4 per year. Many of these have had successful exits, such as Siebel Systems, LendingClub, nVision Medical, Spiderbook, and most recently, Tapas Media, among others. A good portion of his recent investments have been in medical device companies. He is also a limited partner in funds from 8 different venture capital firms.
Mr. Bamford is currently a Distinguished Architect at MongoDB. From 1984 to 2014 he served as the Principal Architect of the Oracle database, during which time he was granted 45 patents in database technologies. He has a BSCS from MIT and a MSEE from Stanford University.
Mr. Bamford lives in San Francisco and Montecito, has 5 sons, and flies helicopters for fun.
